Welcome to GlenMeadow Shires

GlenMeadow Shires is a stud that specialises in transporting people back to the bygone days of horse drawn transport. Our stable consists of the beautiful and powerful Shire and Clydesdale breeds. Our name comes from an old farm in Wales and refers to the classic image of an English Meadow in a Glen.

Most people who see our Clydesdales affectionately refer to them as the Draught Horse. Tall, gentle but very strong, they stir up emotions of the days when the horse was not only a means of transport but a valuable and powerful tool for working the land.
